PCR Supplies and Machines

The GTAC has a number of thermocyclers including three with gradient capability for optimizing annealing temperatures. These are available to all registered GTAC users and can be scheduled on the in-house calendar.

The GTAC also stocks several Taq Polymerases and some standard primers. Contact the director for more information and pricing.

ABI 7300 Real-time PCR

One ABI7300 Real Time PCR machines is available on a "first come, first serve" basis, but reasonable reservations can be accommodated.

Gel Doc System

The UVP imaging station can be used for fluorescent detection of EtBr, and for chemiluminescent detection of Western blots.

The GTAC also offers all the equipment and supplies for the running and imaging of agarose gels.

Qubit Fluorometer 2.0

Accurate quantitation of DNA, RNA and protein.

Supplies/reagents are available in the GTAC, and the cost is $1.00 per assay.

Agilent Bioanalyzer

Accurate quantitation and quality assessment of nucleic acids.

Supplies are generally available in the GTAC or can be ordered when needed. The chips have a limited shelf-life, so please contact us in advance regarding use of the bioanalyzer and availability of supplies.

We charge $65 per chip. You can analyze 11 samples per chip.

High Sensitivity DNA Kit Guide

Bead mill for the disruption of up to 48 samples in tubes or 192 samples in 96-well plates.
